Gernot Wolfram
Gernot Wolfram works as publicist in Berlin. He is professor of media and cultural management at the Macromedia University Berlin. As an author and freelance journalist, he has written for publications including Die Welt, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Jüdische Allgemeine, and has also been involved in numerous theatrical and festival projects. Since 2009 he has acted as a consultant on Intercultural Communication and European Cultural Work for the European Commission in Germany’s Team Europe. He also supervised the "International Summer School for Arts Management" in Epidavros in Greece.
Since 2006, he has been the Federal Center for Civic Education’s external expert for media cultures, sociology and integration in Berlin.
Internationally, Prof. Wolfram is involved in numerous research projects on empowerment and organisational cultures as they relate to cultural and media management. Key to this is his cultural-scientific approach to these fields of science and practice. He is one of the founders of the empowerment research project "The Moving Network" (www.the-moving-network.de)
He was involved in numerous German-Greek exchange projects in the field of cultural studies and arts management. He published a lot of articles in German newspaper concerning the problematic public rhetorics against Greece in times of a economic crisis.
